About Peter Piotti
Business people think I am a business person who can communicate with technical people. Technical people think I am a technical person who can communicate with business people. Actually, I’m both. I’m an experienced business person and technologist who can solve problems in both arenas and act as a translator between the two worlds.
I really love coding. C#, Visual Studio, and SQL Server are great tools that I truly enjoy using. I get to build great software with great tools. But I do more than just build software.
I have always been a problem solver. I earned my Business Administration degree in just three years, at age 20, and completed the educational requirements to become a CPA. I was excited to find my first turnaround opportunity, a distressed metal recycling company, where I increased sales by 58%, gross margin by 42%, and net income by 259%.
I became very interested in improving operations with technology. I started coding, and was soon working in commercial software. I progressed to roles including lead developer and architect, building web-based applications and APIs to automate and streamline business processes and integrate systems.
As development manager, Vice President of Technology, and Chief Technology Officer, I executed three more exciting turnarounds. Keys to my success include:

I love scrappy organizations with a positive, can-do attitude. While CTO of Swift Financial, I created a clear technology vision and detailed strategy which inspired investor confidence, helping Swift raise $22 Million in equity and $24 Million in balance sheet funding. When Swift was acquired by PayPal, I was very proud of my part in turning the company around.
